Ingrow Cricket Club was formed in 1870 and over the years has had many successful junior teams. Unfortunately due to lack of interest in cricket,
Ingrow has not had it’s own junior section for over a decade. With a resurgence of interest in cricket thanks to players like Kevin Pietersen and
Freddy Flintoff and England’s winning of the Ashes in the greatest test series ever in 2005, Ingrow reformed its junior section in 2008.
Adrian Stokes has been appointed the Team Manager and forms the Junior Committee along with Ian Roberts - Coach, and Nick Hoyle - Child Welfare Officer.
The club is fortunate to have 2 Level 2 qualified ECB coaches at the club. They plan all coaching sessions, which are run in risk-assessed locations.
The coaches emphasise the 3 keys to any sports learning environments, ENJOYMENT, FUN and SAFETY.
Each session includes warm up and cool down portions and the coaches perform self assessments on their performance to ensure continuous improvement.
We hope to publish example session plans for your information in the near future.
Ingrow Cricket Club is a Club Mark registered club and are working towards this nationally recognised award. Club Mark has been designed to develop a vibrant and healthy club cricket infrastructure and has 4 main themes.
At the moment approximately 950 clubs hold the full Club Mark accreditation with another 700 registered. For further information see our Club Mark pages (currently under construction)

Adrian Stokes: Chairman of Ingrow Cricket Club and member for 30 years. Adrian was a product of Ingrow’s former Junior section joining the club in 1979. He became a regular in the second team at 16 and was promoted to first team opening batter in 1992. He qualified as a level 1 cricket coach in 2003 and has taken the level 2 course in 2007. His daughter Kirsty is the scorer for the second team.
Ian Roberts: Ian is a long serving member of Ingrow Cricket Club and Committee member with over 30 years affiliation with the club. A regular member of the first team he claimed the league-bowling prize in 2003 and has also won the club-bowling award on several occasions. Ian qualified as a level 1 coach in 2006 and has also taken the level 2 course in 2007. Ian’s son Jason is a promising talent and has already made his senior debut for Ingrow.
Nick Hoyle: Nick holds the position of Vice Chairman and is also the clubs Child Welfare Officer. He has made valuable contributions with both bat and ball in both the first and second teams. Nick has two sons, Jake, a former Ingrow first teamer, who is now making a name for himself at Keighley and Joe, who has great potential as an all rounder.
The club has affiliated its Juniors with the Upper Airedale Junior Cricket League (click this link: UAJCL) initially with an under-15 team entry.
We hope over time to add further age groups to cover under 9s, 11s, 13s, 15s and 17s over the coming seasons.
The season starts on 23rd April 2008 and the last league game is on 23rd July 2008.
